Dashboard security light

Hi,

When I lock my 06 civic, the red light on the dash blinks for around 10 seconds as it should, but then remains lit ( but not blinking ). I may be wrong, I thought it steadily blinked when armed rather than being constantly lit.

Could someone confirm what it should do, and if there is an issue, thank you.

I've just unlocked and locked my car from my desk at work looking at her in the car park.. Mine blinks mate, may be worth getting it checked?

Well I've dug out the owners manual , it says the light is on when the security system is set, and flashes whilst setting itself after locking the car. So I guess I've never watched it long enough to see the light stop blinking once it's finished setting itself...

You're lucky that you can actually see your dashboard from your desk !!

I always park close so I can see whoever parks next to me incase theres any damage... I dont have OCD I swear! [smilie=wrygrin.gif]

Hmm just went back to the car and the light was blinking with the alarm set! Did a test and alarm goes off ok... Drove to Honda and it's not unheard of ... So I guess it's one of those things! ( to add to all the other 'things').

The LED flashes when the alarm is active.
