I got replacement bulbs from Toyama Racing Spirit(thanks Sean)
New vs Old
Tools used
1 x Star nose screw driver
1 x Needle nose pliers
Time taken
Approx 45 minutes
Level of difficulty
3/10
I followed the instructions i found on various websites and chose what i expected to be the easiest
As always, always work carefully, i jacked the car up and used jack stands to secure the front of the vehicle in the air. I also put bricks in front of and behind the rear wheels to avoid the vehicle rolling back or forward
Left side
Turn the wheels all the way to the right
when you look under the front left of the vehicle you will see that there is a push clip, and a screw.
Pull the centre of the push clip out and remove
Remove the screw
pull the arch beading off carefully by pulling the three clips(behind the arch cover) sharply, but gently.
You now have access to the rear of the bumper/fog lamp if you pull the fender lining back
You can now unclip the wires(push the centre of the clip just above the wires and pull down)
twist the bulb housing counter-clockwise and pull out the old bulb
insert the new bulb and replace the plug and all the body work, push the clip back into the holes(lining up the two layers of beading nicely) and then replace the screw(the screw locks into a metal clip on the top layer)
Right side
After tackling the left side i figured i would do exactly the same on the right, boy was i wrong, after removing all the screws and clips as per the left side, i found that the windscreen washer bottle was in the way.
The right, however, is far easier to change, on the underside, there is a second screw that once removed, allows you to pull a piece of the undertray clear, allowing you to reach in and unclip the cable, then remove the bulb the same way you did on the passenger side.
The Two Screws
Two Screws Removed
Panel pulled down
Best pic i could get into the opening
