Manual gearbox oil

Hey.

Whould like to know of any of you drive around with Castrol gearbox oil og genuine Honda MTF?

I have always loved Castrol and would really like to put in my cars gearbox as well. I have found the specs for the Honda MTF III. They are 75w-80 API GL-4 and nothing more.

Castrol`s Syntrans V FE 75W-80 is a GL-4+. I guess this will do just fine?

Honda MTF mate, nothing else.

I know its up to you & all that but to say "nothing else" when the honda gear oil is known to be pants & doesn't help the 3rd gear syncro issue at all.

Any experience with Castrol or a different gear oil?

Nothing happens if the oil have the same properties than mtf3.
I prefer mtf3, honda recommend it and no other... and they built their gearboxes.

People use motylgear 10w40 too with no problems.
