Sorry to hear that you have trouble, its such a critical part that i'd try to source a washer from Honda.

Thanks Farqui. I had a look on Ling's and it's part #22 on the diagram, however it unfortunately doesn't state a size.

I have a friend helping me out and we're going to try larger washers and work down until the sensor starts sending a signal, and then we can just work on calibrating it from there. Still, any clues on an approximate size of the washer would be welcome if anyone has any idea.

I meant part #21, and to be honest I hadn't even looked at the price ? I was just thinking of how I could do it more quickly without ordering and waiting for even more parts. So you're right I'll just get another washer ordered.

 

Good call, with that Honda part# you may even be able to find a slightly cheaper supplier

Honda service dept's usually restock overnight once you place an order.

Does anybody know what the part number(s) are for speed sensor and the washer?

I test drove a car that I'm potentially going to buy. When I got in the speedo wasn't showing anything, no speed, no type R, no rev indicator. Based on the fact there's no display I'm thinking it's electrical but could well be the same issue.

I couldn't feel the VTEC kick in as I'd expect, so thinking this is because the engine couldn't see the rev lights :wink3:

Curiously the display for the indicators do work.

 

I'd avoid it to be honest. Sounds like you may be purchasing someone else problems.

I know its old thread but many still search for proper wahser size. So i have found the solution to washer problem.
Honda did not put any waher there. i have searched the user namual and its not there. After frying my ECU and Flashpro which was locked to it and wasting 4 sensors i have found the solution.
