Looking at getting a Tegiwa header to go with my Miltek system before i buy it what are the main benefits of having de-cat and how much louder will the car be with it fitted? I also have a HKS RSK on the car and a Flashpro which has not yet been used.

Only down side to a race header is the fact you loose the CAT and for the money the tegiwa has to be the best option out there! You get gains all over and will get you a nice midrange! For sound level it's gonna be louder how much louder I dont know.

I have the milltek with a decat (not a full header) and the sound difference is not that much to be honest. Cant see it being much more with a full manifold.

i had a tegiwa header on my ep3 and it sounded awesome! was quite loud though but wasnt silly when light on the throttle. I dont know if the FN2 one is the same..

I have an AAS manifold in combination with the stock (albeit slightly modified) catback.
It´s pleasantly quiet on normal use. It only gets loud at full throttle.

I did. ;)

Personally saw 7 bhp gain at the top, but this was with RRC and FD2 TB.

Main gains are at midrange in particularly torque.

This is my old NA graph.

and my new one.

Much, much more mid range grunt.

It now sounds like this.

When warmed up it sounds pretty normal taking it easy, but does come alive when you gun it.

I've got a Magnex cat back which has a resonator in the B-pipe and then the back box, so it wasn't that loud before and the HKS RSK like the OP.

As I've said I've also got the RRC and TB and the FD2 Oil pump/Balancer Shaft Delete kit.

:edit:

Oh, obviously got Flashpro.

@ Loxy
why have you changed to Milltek?
with FD2 killer kit you gained 10bhp, that's very good.
Where is you rev limiter?

But without FD2 TB and RRC the top end gained BHP is not very big with Tegiwa Mani :(

Tegiwa manifold is modelled on the Toda Manifold which is mainly about the mid-range gains, you'll probably find that the majority of that 7bhp will be from the header tho

the rrc and fd2 tb wont come in to play really untill the cam change?

i have my doubts with the oil pump making 10bhp when i go to get it im gonna just get it for the lightened fly wheel effect, if i get the power fair play.

to be honest you wont get anything near 10bhp from the toda pump chris, its just a stripped down fd2 oil pump, youre engine will spin up better, so it might help give a little gain top end.
