I replaced that head unit :)

I’m still battling a few lingering issues but it’s not quite as scary as you hear on the forums :)

I have a 2011 "Honda Civic mk9 EX GT" . It seems to be the only 2011 one around , so all websites keep pointing me to mk8 details.
I bought a 27-269 from incartec the SWC-23229NAV and an aerial adapter .

I am fitting an ATOTO S8 Ultimate head unit .

Most of the process was simple enough, but the ATOTO harness didn’t have the amp wire connected so I took one pin from the spare harness and wired it up.

I had to manually wire up the power to the reversing camera (just join two wires together).

I think there was one more .

The last issue is trying to find the wire to the phone buttons and to work out why the HFT stopped working after I unpaired my phone and reconnected .

I didn’t disconnect the battery so the clock is still fine . There are wires to connect to the imid for navigation , but not sure if they would work .

Thanks for the reply! You may have seen this already, but this pdf has instructions about hardwiring the phone buttons. I'm probably not even going to try with those, if I can get volume and forward/back I'll be happy. How did the SWC-23229NAV connect to the Atoto unit? Or does it just have an ISO connector, so plugged straight in? My head unit has a different interface, and a separate can bus decoder. It does also have KEY1/KEY2 wires for SWC but the InCarTec product specifically says that's not compatible. I'm not worried about reverse camera retention as I'm planning to replace the camera with an upgraded one anyway. SWC is my biggest hurdle now... I still haven't found a wiring diagram for the 24 pin connector on this sat nav, but I've cross referenced the active pins on the 20 pin connector on my harness with the ones in the wiring diagram for the non-nav units. I think the only pins that were present on both were for iMid communication, and as you say, I doubt the Android unit supports that anyway. So I am going to try modifying the harness as described in that InCarTec PDF, take those two can high/low cables and plug them into the 24 pin connector and see if the SWC starts working. Feels like a stab in the dark as it will leave lots of cables from the harness unplugged, but you never know!
It looks like you should plug the 3.5mm jack in for the SWC but I found articles that suggested you shouldnt, and can just wire up one cable to either of Key1 or Key 2 and it worked. The Atoto allows you to set each button as you like so it was easy to program. Incartec have got back to me about what wire to splice for the phone buttons do going to try that one more time. The worst news is they say the BT can't be connected. Seems odd as it worked when first fitted. It seems that it's wired ok for use, but the pairing option is lost. The only option seems to be be yo put the old head unit in, pair and switch back to new head unit!
