:laugh2: I got lighter wheels, rear seats out CF Bonnet, rear mats out and even the boot floor thingy and that weighed nearly 5kg on it's own
I like the wee boot thingy tbh lol it's good for holding the shopping in

Front and rear seats I think weigh a combined 100kg getting rid of those will be the biggest saver, the fully forged wheels I've got are really light but it doesn't make too much difference on total weight, it's the unsprung weight saving your gaining there

I really like the corbeau's they are very comfy, really good hold too, but it's all personal, you really need to try get a seat in some to find out what suits you
I have strict instructions off the missus that I'm only allowed Recaros lol

My boot bit holds my removable cat down just incase VOSA stop me :laugh2:

I'm interested in the front seats being swapped for lighter ones but @onearmbandit put a list up for me (thanks bud) and there seemed a lot to consider. Too many things on at the mo but something I'd like to do.

Oh, and the shopping sits fine in the well of the boot so doesn't need the lid

What make of internals did you go for mate? I'm not going to k24 but will be forging soon and nice to hear what others have done ??
It was part of a build that mike Laskey put together for me, its Eagle rods and Arias pistons - the rods are good, the pistons are gonna get replaced, pockets aren't deep enough to allow me enough VTC and the chatter up the chamber so it sounds really tappity so I'll be switching out, it'll probably be a custom job tho

I am also going eagle rods as are very good for the price.....I take it the Pistons were 2618 alloy? .....any reason you didn't go JE or CP ? Very nice build tho mate , bet the torque on that is nice

And yeh when you need to get custom made it tends to leave you wallet felling like its bin on the Atkins diet

We couldn't get CP pistons in the size and compression ratio I wanted at the time, that was all, arias pistons do get a good name, the main issue is I want to run more VTC

Aah I see , what degree are you running? And what are you hoping for?

I have a drag cartel 30 degree can gear, any more than that and I'll get piston to valve because of the size of the cams, I want 45 degrees lol

Did / do you have the hybrid racing intake? If so how was fitment? Hoping to squeeze it in there without cutting any chassis. I'll put some rubber over the metal to protect the silicone if I have to.

I've got the HR yeh, it's good but I had the skunk2 before so we had taken a small cut to fit that so I couldn't say it wouldn't affect you without that insition being there

No problem, bending the chassis is easy but rather avoid it if I can.

As it's a flexible silicone it could bend in there but one thing to consider would be that not only would it create a smaller capacity (marginally) it would likely create a weak spot where it could potentially squeeze/buckle under pressure

Marcin got it in without cutting but was concerned about it wearing away from the metal. Even if I get some rubber or slice a small hose to cover edges to act as a buffer it'll do. Just need to check on it periodically, I'll fit it on a weekend rather than rush after work :)

Yeh or even a line of silicone alone the metal, any of those would do the trick

Hey that's a thought.

Cheers, always like a challenge!

Yeh Wow bet that will give the vtec a kick........think I read somewhere about 50 degree but no idea what Pistons were used......yeh getting custom Pistons will leave you wallet feeling like its bin on the Atkins :grin2:

Dunno why my reply went down as a quote but hope it still makes sense
