Great help you have been for many people, thanks. I reviewed all the treads and only one b-code appeared on your thread. I can't find much about these codes anywhere, (shouldn't they be called MICU codes)

I have Honda Odyssey and my codes appeared as follows; b1075, b1080, b2081, b2082, b1163, b1164, and b1275.
- This thread said b1275 is "Combination Light Switch OFF Position "... would that be the same for an Odyssey
- Do codes appear in the order the vehicle sensed them.

Anyway, I'll keep researching, keep up the great help!

So even though loads of people seem to come across this thread and the tin foil trick when their ABS/VSA warning lights come on, is it established that these DTC codes in the multi-information display don't display codes concerning ABS/VSA anyway?

Hello,

Thanks to Potsy and others for the helpful information.

I own a Honda Civic 1.8AT in India. While driving some days back suddenly my illumination lights started flickering and with the ac they went off.
Now all the illumination lights for ac buttons, AT gear lever, sel/reset switch, beam leveler switch wont come on when i turn parking and headlights switch on. I can also see that headlights on indicator and exterior temp has dissappeard from tachometer.

Physical buttons and everything else works fine, but not the ac clutch. I checked and all fuses are fine. Went ahead to check the tachometer with self diagnostic mode and got error 2.

As Potsy suggested i used the tin foil method, but i cant see any code info on my tachometer. But i could use the same process with the ceiling light which gave me 5 flashes, which refers to comms lost between tacho and micu, replace tacho.

Can someone please help me what could be the issue as my car doesnt show a code on tacho display.

Heres the process i followed Honda Bcan process

Dev

Hi Guys,

I just tried again and waited for some more time and got the error codes, almost 15 of them.

To my surprise, i thought of keeping the port shorted for 10-15 mins and it somehow fixed all the errors and my ac and illumination lights started working again.

Now its shows a NO on fresh bcan test! I thought my tacho and dimmer switch were toast.

Dev

Hi All,

Again the problems are back and just keep coming and going back around. I just removed the tachometer and cleaned the pcb with acetone and q tip. I could see some discoloured spots, which were on those fine connecting lines. Hope this may solve the problem else will have to get a tacho. Weired but the tacho controls the ac too and wont let the ac clutch engage if bad. Just sharing in case helps someone with same issue.

Dev

Does anyone know if this will work with a 2016 9th Gen? Pic below is of the fuse box.

Going by the pic on the original post, the port with the cross is the one that looks most logically like it would be the one, that is if it had any pins sticking out in it.

The two with ticks do however have pins - any idea which, if indeed either, should be used.
