It's just to join those 2 pins together. You can use foil, something else, or the Honda special tool.

Finally got the time to check my car-results:

PA50 B1177 - Abnormal Battery Voltage (7.5 V) - yeh...i have to change the battery... its just wount hold the "kick" in it. Problem started in winter-it started to show "Check System" message if i started the engine for the first time in a day-its like that right now too...but yeh... it wount give that message after a bit driving around-well mostly it wount

PA51 B1240 - A Problem with A/C?

PA51 B1241 - A Problem in the Blower Motor Circuit? what kind of problem:) ?

Hi guys,

so I did this test and i got PA 10 - DTC B1008. But also I did dashboard self-diagnostic (as described here http://www.civinfo.com/forum/how/1590-how-do-dashboard-self-diagnostic.html) and I got ERROR 2 there.

Can somebody point me what could be the problem, because the authorized Honda Service in my country is closing until the end of the month and I want to get my car all tight up while it is under warranty.

Also, if I clear the error will it show up again if the problem still exists? Because of the bad experience with service in my country I doubt that they have cleared the errors ever...

Thanks.

EDIT: I've checked the fuses someone described for this problem, now I don't have that error anymore. However, now I have B1225 (fault with the in-car temperature sensor). Is there anything I can to try to fix it before I go to the service? Again, if I clear the error list will it show up again if that sensor is still faulty?

Here are the decodes:

DTC B1177: Abnormal Battery Voltage (7.5 V)
DTC B1240 or DTC indicator L: A Problem in the Mode Control Linkage, Doors, or Motor
DTC B1241 or DTC indicator N: A Problem in the Blower Motor Circuit

For 1241, is the blower working? And at the right speed? If so then it was an intermittent fault.

DTC B1008: MICU Lost Communication with the Gauge Control Module (A/T Message)
DTC B1225 or DTC indicator A: An Open in the In-car Temperature Sensor Circuit
I would not clear the codes - there's nothing you can do to fix it, the dealer needs to go through the service procedure.

Potsy, just a thought. How about a sticky with a full list of all the
codes you have?

Would save a lot of questions and be a useful reference.

This is not the engine dts socket it is for checking b can, multiplex and guage assembly. You wont find any usefull dtc,s (diagnostic trouble codes) using this system and i strongly advise against this

Speedy, as Pottsy doesn't have a full list of diagnostic codes, maybe you could provide the full list for the vehicle.

Many aftermarket OBDII readers are now available so even though only limited codes appear on the screen through Potty's method, there are bound to be others who obtain engine codes etc through the proper OBDII channel.

Thus a full list would be extremely helpful and from a dealers point of view might even generate more repair income as some faults will be brought for fixing thta might otherwsie go unoticed. Everyones a winner.

wiki page would probably be better.

b1031

b2991

b2357

b2356

b2355

any ideas???

B1031 - Ultrasonic Signal Error
B2991 - Climate Control Unit Lost Communication with Audio HVAC Subdisplay Unit (with audio system) or HVAC Subdisplay Unit (without audio system)

B2357 - Automatic Lighting/rain Sensor Lost Communication with MICU (RM Message)
B2356 - Automatic Lighting/rain Sensor Lost Communication with MICU (WIPSW Message)
B2355 - Automatic Lighting/rain sensor Lost Communication with MICU (HLSW Message)

cheers gav matey,

Looks like somthing i may of done fitting the parrot etc.

All works so not going to worry, will reset them and see if they return down the line

:worms:

Great little workaround.

I found the following faults, after the 'check system' light came on this afternoon....

PA51 DTC B1225 A fault with the in-car temperature sensor.
PA51 DTC B1241 A Problem in the Blower Motor Circuit
PA51 DTC B1235 A Problem in the Driver's Air Mix Control Linkage, Door, or Motor
PA51 DTC B2983 ??

I have found most of the fault codes in this thread already, nothing on the final one though. Any ideas? All looks cooling related, must be this hot weather :sun:

DTC B2983 or DTC indicator M: A Problem in the Recirculation Control Linkage, Door, or Motor

If the aircon is working - it could have been an intermittent glitch. If not, then these codes will be the clue to where the problem is.

.....Hello Pottsy....I am about to ask a very stupid question...In regards to the foil concept out do I need to start the engine?....I know I should turn the key to (ii) but when I do that am I supposed to then start the engine to get the DTC codes to come up?

Thanks

.....Hello Pottsy....well we tried it out on a friend's car but nothing came up.....we waited for as long as we could and made sure it was well bridged (the fuse section for the foil), but nothing came up on the dash......is this normal?...

Thanks again

Can this be done on the Accord 2007? I just had the VSA Chesck system light come on for no apparant reason. Tried removing/replacing relays and now have both VSA and ABS lights on saying Check System.

Any Ideas?
