DTC B1077: Windshield Wiper (As) Signal Error
DTC B1177: Abnormal Battery Voltage (7.5 V)
DTC B1240 or DTC indicator L: A Problem in the Mode Control Linkage, Doors, or Motor

I'm going to guess you need a new wiper motor, but before you do that there are a load of tests that you need to do to establish the fault.

Hi thanks again,

I took it ot my local garage who said some of the following??

bent conrod
ect sensor
actuator loop
wiper motor
eml something

Basically £689.00

Is this a total rip off

The funny thing is I thought my girlfriend went through a big puddle when infact it was her mum in her feista, and the above was a result of driving
through a big puddle... god did they get a red face when I said sorry I got
it wrong it was her MUM....

Please advise thanks

Guys, last week my srs warning light came on along with the "check system" warning. I went to the dealer, who told me the left front impact sensor was probably acting up, and they reset the error to see if it would reappear. In which case they would need to replace the sensor. Yesterday it did, but I decided to check things for myself using the trick described here. It turns out I have (almost) exactly the same list as nosy-vic and engio, which had to do with the loose cable at the lambda sensor.

PA10 DTC B1008
PA50 DTC B1155
PA50 DTC B1156
PA50 DTC B1157
PA50 DTC B1159
PA50 DTC B1160
PA50 DTC B1188
PA51 DTC B1235
PA96 DTC B1905

So I pointed the dealer to this result, but he went on the defensive saying they want to check for themselves, and that it would be highly unlikely this would trigger the srs light. But I found a service manual online which states exactly what to do in this case...

Does anyone know where I can find the lambda sensor and it's wiring?

Hi guys,

The check system light came on today with the engine light. I checked the error codes (thanks Pottsy!!!) and here are the results:

PA10
B1008
Transmitting Control Unit - MICU
Receiving Unit/Loss of Communication DTC - Gauge Control Module

PA96
B1906
Transmitting Control Unit - MICU
Receiving Unit/Loss of Communication DTC - Immobilizer-Keyless Control Unit

PA51
B1215 - I can't find anything about this one - looks like it's related to climate control errors group?
B1235 - A Problem in the Air Mix Control Linkage, Door, or Motor

Just wanna make sure it's a "silly" problem and I can drive to work tomorrow before I get the car to dealer, any help?

What is the difference between resetting errors by unpluging the battery and resetting them via DTC diagnostic screen?

------------------UPDATE-------------------------
Ok, I decided to reset errors in DTC (I am sure some of them were soooo old) and also disconnect the battery to get rid of the engine light :)

All errors and lights are gone now, I've done 10km and no errors so far, finger crossed :)

Thanks :D

Hey

In the last I've noticed my exterior temperature display appears to be out by about 7-10 degrees celcius. I've got the following error only

DTC B1008: MICU Lost Communication with the Gauge Control Module (A/T Message)

Anyone hazard a guess to the problem is it the exterior sensor?

Thanks

Can anybody translate "PA51 DTC B2991", please?

EDIT: i've just seen from earlier in this thread that it's "Climate Control Unit Lost Communication with Audio HVAC Subdisplay Unit (with audio system) or HVAC Subdisplay Unit (without audio system)".

That's... odd. But I'll take discussion about it back to the thread where it belongs.

It happened again

Hi everyone,

Just to follow that old post of mine, the car was fine for 30'000km (about 19k miles?) but it seems that that funny cable disconnected again since I got the same exact errors again::facepalm:

PA 10
B 1008 MICU Lost Communication with Gauge Control Module (Tach) (A/T Message)

PA 50
B 1155 Gauge Control Module Lost Communication with the MICU (HLSW Message)
B 1156 Gauge Control Module Lost Communication with the MICU (WIPSW Message)
B 1157 Gauge Control Module Lost Communication with the MICU (WIPSW Message)
B 1159 Gauge Control Module Lost Communication with the MICU (DOORSW Message)
B 1160 Gauge Control Module Lost Communication with the MICU (DRLOCKSW Message)
B 1188 Gauge Control Module Lost Communication with the MICU (RM Message)

PA 51
B 1235 A Problem in the Driver's Air Mix Control Linkage, Door, or Motor

But this time the error "B 1905" ( Immobilizer-Keyless Control Unit Lost Communication with MICU (DRLOCKSW Message) ) is in PA 96. Last time it was in PA 50. Any ideas what does that mean? It will explode soon? ;)
And... The error description is the same even if it's in another "PA" ?

Ah, another thing: I got the errors around 6pm when coming back from work and later that night I went out (it was still on). Then, when I took the car back from the pub, around midnight, the check engine light was off. I swear I didn't clear the error message!

The next day it came on again the third time I use the car (about 25km) around 3pm. Now three days have passed and it's still on. I'll probably get it fixed (hopefully) next week and I'll let you guys know.

In the meanwhile if someone have some ideas... Thanks in advance!!

PS: the car has 74'500km and I bought it on July'08

Help

Hi,

Went to start my car this afternoon and it refused twice but then started fine. Hasnt been used much in the last month and we had a recent cold snap. First thing i noticed about two weeks ago alarm was going off by itself for no reason and the lights where not blinking when locking/unlocking car.Lights were working however as indicators just not with central locking at the start. The lights are back blinking but alarm goes off every now and then still.

When car started I got the check system light and also I am getting the VSA warning light intermittently and so have not driven the car yet. I took out the MAP sensor as the car was surging a bit in idle, this has gone away. I now have tried your code trick and have the following warning

PA50 DTC B1177
PA51 DTC B1240
PA51 DTC B1235

I am sure that if I bring it to local garage this could turn out expensive, just wondering is it likely that the only problem could be a low battery and that everything else is because of that and best plan would be to replace battery, reset faults and see what happens?

Any help/guidance greatly appreciated

Its a 2006 Honda Civic Hatch(new model)

I had the flashing glow plug light and engine check come up at the weekend. Used the foil method and got B1228 which indicates a short in the outside temp sensor.

I changed the sensor about a month ago as it was reading 33degrees in the snow.

However I am bit confused as the temp gauge seems to be reading a good temperature so not sure why its showing a short warning.

I deleted the DTC code but still getting the glow plug light flashing and the engine check warning coming back up however the DTC code does not get logged again.

Also run the climate control diagnostic and that comes back with no errors.

Could this DTC be old and the warning light for something new which hasnt logged a DTC? I really dont want to pay good money to the dealer for them to plug their laptop into it.

Thanks
DT

I don't think all errors can be read using the foil method.
You need to hook a laptop up to your car through the OBD-II port to read some of them I think I'm right in saying?

God, I wish i didn't see this, I ended up with an endless list[smilie=dunceblock.:

After read through most of the replies, I think this list is just a historical error log, but doesn't necessarily indicate all existing faults, and most DTCs are cluster related, I once removed my dash for GPS installation, I guess that is why it picks up sooo many "Lost Communication with the MICU" stuff. Please tell me i am right[smilie=shake.gif] is honda gonna cover all these???
