Well, mine is working this morning! It was an hour behind, and DST didn't help, but I could adjust it by an hour and then done. Date is showing as 01.01.2003 now, so DST will be out, but at least adjusting the time now corrects it.

I can see the date to be 1/1/2003 but the time wont change. (it is still the random time as before). Do I need unplug the battery so the time will be reset to satelite's sync?

Edit: You need to "reset" the sat nav in order to initate the sync sequence. After that, it works as described.

After 17th Aug when the system’s internal calendar recalibrates, the clock will show the correct GPS time but most likely be off by 1 hour because the system’s internal calendar interprets the daylight saving time (DST) change incorrectly.
Now i can adjust the time correctly, and it's not affected every time the vehicle’s power is cycled off and then on, so i set the “Auto Daylight Saving” function to “OFF" and I adjusted the clock manually.

Yes, all sat nav clocks should now work correctly (except for the DST) because the internal calendar system now shows January 1st 2003 and system’s internal calendar recalibrates then it allows manual synchronization. The problem was 2002 year.

Same here. A few weeks back tried and allowed me to now correct clock of wifes car. What an odd issue lol but resolved.

To get my car's time back to being correct do I need to follow the instructions in the PDF i.e. disconnect battery just before 1pm or was that only relevant before August? Will be nice to get the time correct again!
If you have to reset the sat nav is this just disconnecting the battery too or is there another process? Thanks.

Press map, menu and back all at the same time. Takes you to a hidden menu. Go to functional set up. Set time and date for GPS. Save. Leave the hidden menu. Go to GPS settings and select time. Copy over time from GPS (clock adjustment). Time will change instantly. Hope this helps.
